General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope

These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed via the Polariou online shop under the domain polariou.de , operated by:

Our offers are aimed exclusively at consumers as defined in § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB).


2. Contracting parties, conclusion of contract

The purchase agreement is concluded with:

The presentation of our products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding product presentation.

By clicking the "Buy now" button, you are placing a binding order for the goods contained in the shopping cart.

After submitting your order, you will automatically receive an order confirmation via email.
The contract only comes into effect upon confirmation of shipment or delivery of the goods.


3. Prices and payment terms

All prices are quoted in EUR or CHF and include statutory VAT (where applicable).

Payment methods:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)

  • PayPal

  • Klarna (Instant, Invoice, Installment Purchase)

  • Shopify Payments

  • Apple Pay / Google Pay

Payment is made immediately upon completion of the order process, unless otherwise stated.


4. Shipping and Delivery

We deliver worldwide , preferably to:

  • Germany

  • Switzerland

  • Austria

  • EU countries

  • United Kingdom (UK)

Shipping costs are displayed at checkout.
Delivery usually takes 5–12 working days , depending on the destination country.

Should an ordered product not be available, we will inform you immediately.


5. Retention of title

The goods remain the property of Polariou until full payment is received.


6. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal.

Cancellation policy

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The period begins on the day on which you or a third party designated by you (not the carrier) have taken possession of the goods.

Consequences of the revocation

Upon receipt of your cancellation, we will refund all payments, including standard shipping costs, within 14 days , but no later than upon receipt of the returned goods.

The customer bears the costs of the return shipment unless otherwise agreed.


7. Warranty & Guarantee

The statutory warranty of 24 months applies.

In addition, we offer a voluntary Polariou warranty (4 years) on selected products.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • improper handling

  • Falls

  • Water / Liquids

  • Fire

  • misuse


8. Liability

We are fully liable in cases of intent and gross negligence.
In cases of simple negligence, we are only liable for:

  • Injury to life, body or health

  • Breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations)
    → limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damage.


9. Data protection

Your data will be processed exclusively in accordance with our current privacy policy .
No personal data will be shared without a legal basis or your consent.


10. Dispute Resolution

The EU Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution:

We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.


11. Applicable Law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Consumers residing in the EU are also subject to the mandatory consumer protection regulations of their country.
